Can a man wear a western sarong in Dubai?

Thanks for the info. What I was thinking is something similar to a female sarong, but the ones that are "designed" for men.

1. The Arabs who wear the futah, wear it as undergarment or in bed. On the street you see some South Asian, Srilankan or Malayans wearing it. But - these people don't hang out where tourist gather. If I were you, I would think twice unless you want to catch a lot of attention. Btw: what is a western sarong? Do you mean what women wear at beaches? If yes - don't.
2. Yes you can.But the wind at the beach will blow it up, giving you no place to hide! Btw,cross dressing in Dubai can get you arrested:)
