How can find out how much my signed batik silk paintings are worth?

We have several batik silks signed by the artist and would like to know what they are worth, they range from 1930' to 1940's

1. Go to Borders or any of the other big bookstores or libraries and look for books about batik; you should be able to find a value guide somewhere. This is a starting point. You may be able to find collectors/associations, etc., where you can contact someone to appraise them. However, this is usually NOT free.
