Can you save fabric dye for batik and reuse?

I am tub dyeing fabric for a batik project. Can the dye be reused after the fabric is taken out?

1. dyes consistancy fades after a while. Id use it in the next day or so.
2. it doesn't last very long, you'll get inconsistent results the older the dye bath is.
