Why did some muslim see this thing in mosque an old malay man wearing a kopiah sarong and tongkat?

1. becz many muslim old men go to the mosque for prayer. old men usually wear kopiah and sarong and of coz they use the cane/stick to support them walking. old men usually use the mosque for social activities. you will find lots more old folks acquainting the mosque rather than younger ones.
2. Of course they see because there also have old man wants to pray.
