Why would a good Christian?
guy post an avatar of some strapping, young, shirtless guy in a sarong or towel on the beach, then preach to us about the Bible? Is he trying to draw attention to his words or to his avatar? Does he know that he's probably causing people of BOTH genders to lust (not me though, punkin!). I thought you guys wanted to save our souls not cause us to sin. :( Please enlighten me, Christians. Is it proper for a man to post a *provocative* picture while preaching the word? Are slutty avatars only improper for women?

- Hey, it makes me listen a little closer. RAWR!
- There's definitely a double standard.
- Anyone can say anything here and you don't know the truth. I look exactly like Reese Witherspoon and my hubby looks like Elvis. Just because someone says he is a Christian does not make it true.
- What up Lady Lazarus, I think it's very recognizable that this person is not practicing what they preach. And that damages the credibility of what he's saying. i think each person can only personally answer for themselves and if an individual claims to believe in the Bible they should practice it. But i do also think it's unfair to take the example of people who don't follow the Bible and then categorize them as Christians. Because the Bible has much to say about people who call themselves Christians and in the end may find that they don't really know Jesus- and so the Bible says- hey examine the lives (examine people's fruit). The fruit of the Spirit is described as: Love, joy, peace, patience, etc. (this is found in Galatians 5) where interestingly before there is a list that characterizes what a life without God is centered in- and some of those things on the list - include sexual immorality- so i would say that just because someone says they are a Christian- doesn't mean they are following Chirst. But to me it's between that person and God- and when you see that you might want to ask that person and you can tell a lot about the sincerity of their love and their desire to follow God based on their answer. Hope that helps. Kindly, Nickster
- i thnk that it is unproper botth ways each is causing othrs 2 lust
- Don't assume that everyone that calls themselves a Christian is one.. If it looks like a non-christian, talks like a non-christian, walks like a non-christian.. Most likely it's a non-christian. Knowledge of the Bible is not necessarily an indication that a person is a christian... Satan himself knows the Bible from cover to cover... He will always misquote and misinterpret it.. But, Satan knows what it says.
