body for a monokini?

My measurements are 34 (B) -28- 34(hips) and a friend of mine got me a monokini that i absolutely love!! its black however my other friend says that my *** may be a bit too big for me to be a monokini "kinda gal", since my *** is 40 inches if this is true, would wearing a sarong work? i haven't been to the beach in almost a year and i cant wait to get my feet in the sand and play some good ol' fashioned beach volleyball...but my friend has dented my self esteem..because i was excited about showing this monokini off what are your opinions? should i wear it..or not? http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=9C-223522&cgname=OSKEYSWMZZZ&rfnbr=22&wide=true it's like that (style) but in all black, and has silver speckles on the bust area and the widest point of my hips is 34 and my butt is a bit lower and reaches 40 inches

2. It sounds awesome, I don't think it matters how big your bum is. But a sarong would add a nice touch as an accesory :) As long as you wear this monokini with confidence, you can pull it off for sure!
3. Do you mean your butt? [ Hips are measured around biggest part of your hips/rear, so 40" is your hip size.] You sound well within limits for a normal proportioned bod. As long as all of your butt cheeks fit inside the suit, and your bust is supported, go ahead and wear it! Got a picture of it?
